Solved Task Schedular

Hi

I am trying to use the task scheduler for the first time and I have followed tutorials but the task will not run at the time I have set it to run. I would like a new program I have downloaded (called SmartFTP) to start up at, for example, 12:00, and I have entered that into the "trigger" tab, as well as selecting start program in the "action" tab. Is there something I'm missing?

In history, it is showing that there is an error: Error Value: 2147942402

Export the scheduled task and post here.

From Task Scheduler, open the task you are working with.
Click on Action then Export.
Save the .xml file somewhere you can find it, then open it in Notepad by right clicking on it and selecting Edit.
Copy the Notepad data and post here.

Why is it pulling up the Windows Installer? Point it to the actual Program in the Program Files folder.

I pointed it to the shortcut icon on my desktop. I know it sounds a bit odd but I can't seem to find the actual program in program files, so that's the only thing I have reference to and that's what I click to open the software when I use it.

Won't work. You need to point it the the installed program. If you right click on the icon on the Desktop, select Open File Location. That should give you the location of the installed program.

Right clicking the icon did not give me the correct location, but I managed to finally locate it.
