ManyCam crashes when I chose a desktop mode

When I try to change the desktop mode, this thing:

I have tried re-installing, etc and that doesn't help. Neither does running in UAC admin.

Did you ask at the manycam forums? I don't know how many people here would be familiar with that program, or even what those buttons do.

That being said, my best guess is that manycam is incompatible with the changes Windows 8 made to the windowing environment.

There's no manycam forums. At least, none that I see. And that's what I figured, I was just wondering if anyone had a workaround.

Is it crashing shortly after system boot, or only when you run the program?

Have you tried compatibility mode under Winxp sp3?

I read that even in Windows 7 there were some issues with ManyCam...

Only when I click the button. Yes, I have tried it in winxp sp3. And win7. And vista, just for laughs and giggles, but I wasn't expecting anything from that.
