Hi,
I'm having WIndows 8 Pro N, I encountered some issue here that Windows will boot into black screen quite sometime.
The moment when I tried to perform a restart or switch on my laptop, I could see the Windows 8 logo and then the screen just turned black. CTRL ALT DEL doesn't work and what I have to do is perform forced shut down.
After I switched it on again, everything just worked fine. The frequency of having the problem is 50%.

anyone have this issue too? Can someone guides me to solve the problem? Thanks!

Unplug all USB devices except your mouse/keyboard if you need them.

Boot system, use as usual, shutdown..

Boot system, use as usual, restart.

Boot system, all ok so far? find troublesome USB device, is any of them a webcam?

If bad boot after disconnecting all USB devices, then make your way into OS however possible either through reboot or safemode.

uninstall video drivers, and let windows install its default drivers. By clicking the action tab on top and scan for hardware changes.

use system as usual, reboot and shutdown alternately

If all ok, re-download and install video drivers, do not use the CD/DVD nor the already downloaded driver package from previous download.
