    The desktop button on the Start screen

    Is there a way to make the desktop button/tile/link to the desktop on the start screen to be a different image besides what is really on your desktop screen?

    For example, lets say I want a photo of deep space on my tile desktop button, but don't want that image as my desktop screen. Just the tile.

    I added one 2 months ago.
    I wanted to supply the Path I used but have forgotten it.
    I hope you can google enough to find it.
    I have tried for several hours,but no luck.
    I'm sorry if you can't get it to work.

    I feel bad about it.

    @BRIKING

    I think he means the tile path to the desktop.

    @medab1
    too bad.. I'm also looking for the correct path. The simple path to the desktop folder isn't the best solution.

    I searched & found the path.

    There are 2 actually.

    C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Shows Desktop.lnk"

    C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C "%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Shows Desktop.lnk"

    I used the first one & where User name is I put medab1.

    C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C "C:\Users\medab1\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Shows Desktop.lnk"

    It works.

    Edit--

    I wasn't going to give up on this.
    I knew it could be done, I just forgot how.

    without using cmd you can click Libraries
    then the right pointing arrow between the folder icon & word Libraries
    then your user name
    then Desktop

    then right click to copy address as text if you need to save it to your clipboard

    if I'm wrong or off base ... it's not the first time !
