Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (from the DHCP server) for the network card. The following error occurred 0x79. Your computer will continue to try to obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

Anyone know what his means in layman's terms ? I did not notice any effect on the computer.

Thanks for the reply.

Should have mentioned I did "google" the issue but did not find a similar situation. However, did not see the MSN community reply.

There is no indication of a driver or internet connection issue. Hopefully, the error will not reoccur. Since I am on a home wireless connection, my concern is security.

I would just reset my router back to factory defaults by pushing a paper clip in the tiny hole on the back of the wired/wireless router and push and hold until it turned off, then release. This will reset the router for you, then just set up your wireless security settings. Then see if issue continues.
