I have a Sony VAIO Duo 11 slider tablet with an 11.6" LCD screen. It is plenty large when using it as a tablet iPad style. But when using it laptop style the screen is further away and it gets harder to see the fonts. The stock MS magnifier is fine when in 2x mode, but the true type fonts are ugly other modes such as 1.5x.
I am middle aged, yet still feel the need for a magnifier tool with Windows 7 on a 22" screen at work. I've starting looking into 3rd magnifier tools, but some are costly and targeted for people with vision problems. I could change the text size percentage, but prefer not do because of web design where the normal setting is preferable. I could lower the resolution and perhaps this is the best solution.
I'd like the stock MS magnifier if it doesn't mess with true type fonts on odd ball magnification settings. Anyone out there who has been through this? I can't be alone...
