Message at every normal start up!

Your pc ran into a problem which caused it to restart. View Details Send Details.

I keep getting this message every time I log into my windows. There are no problems starting and no problems shutting down. So why do I keep getting this awful message every time I start up? Any ideas or support? Much obliged!

How old is your PC? A failing component can cause problems like this, as it won't allow a process to start or complete.

As long as things are otherwise working, it may be difficult to locate the problem, but it may be a warning of something about to fail. Are you able to view the details?

It just gives me a list of files that will be sent to microsoft.

    C:\windows\minidump\042413.dmp
    C:\Users\[My name]\Appdata\local\temp\WER-113833-0.sysdata.xml
    C:\windows\memory.dmp

Am I able to access these or other files to get the real error report?

It looks like it could be a RAM issue, like a poor contact or failing RAM. Hard to say unless you could read the file contents. XML can be read easily enough, but I'm not sure about the DMP files, or what either would contain.

    Hi there
Restore from backup image --you should have one shouldn't you !!!.
If you don't have one you should run Repair Windows from recovery / start up disk.

I'm going to be the odd one out here but I would say you've almost got more chance of winning the Euro millions Lottery than the RAM being defective. In all the years of using all sorts of computers I can say I've NEVER had RAM fail. I've had RAM that hasn't worked or been incompatible with a Mobo but if the computer gets at least into the BIOS (never mind about booting the OS) then the RAM will certainly NOT be the problem -- check if you open the machine though it's seated properly in the slots whether a laptop or desktop.

    Cheers
