Hi all,
My laptop froze the other day and I was forced to power down manually.
On restarting it just went in to a continuous reboot. I then turned it off and back on and this time it said on screen "preparing for automatic repair" but then after about 5 minutes it again rebooted with the same message.
When I purchased Windows 8 Pro 64 bit I ordered a back up disc at the same time so I tried this.
I got the message press any key to boot from disc and the DVD drive spun up and started the boot process but then restarted again and continued in the reboot loop with the message "Automatic repair".
I've also tried pressing the F12, F8, F5 and none will respond.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1750 and the F keys are Blue so normally have to press the Fn key and the F key I need.
I assume I should be pressing the Fn key and required F key at boot up for them to respond, or will they respond without the Fn key?
Really stuck now, any help with this would be much appreciated.
Cheers Ummagumma
