Should I turn off disk defragment in Windows8 for ssd?

Hmm, you sure? This guy seems to believe Win 8 defrag handles SSD's properly. Not sure if it's proven though.

I dont think it will make any difference as a ssd has no physical disk. It will access data from anywhere at the same speed.

Yeah, but I think Microsoft knows that. Which is why it says it will automatically choose the right optimization for the type of media. And the trim options.

I think they know how SSD's operate by now...

If not, well we're in trouble then.
