Solved files created on win 7 data drive not seen on win 8

I use an internal data drive for most of my data. In win 8 the drive is E and I've created several
folders and populated them with data. I then rebooted my machine to a Win 7 pro system and added
a folder and some data to the E drive. No issues.

When I go back to Win 8 i can't see the folder and files I created on the E drive from Win 7.

I haven't gone back to Win 7 yet to see if they are there, but I would be willing to bet that I will
see them in Win 7.

What is the issue here and how do I resolve?

Thanks

Can you see the drive at all? Make sure it is mounted. Did you encrypt the folders under Windows 7 at any time? THAT would be a problem.

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
I can see the drive fine. It has not changed ports. It is connected internally to the same port in both Win 7 & Win 8.
In win 8 and Win 7 I can see all the folders I created in Win 8 but not those created in Win 7.

No encryption ever used.

Rebooted into Win7 and drive E reported errors and fixed.

Files and folder seen ok, but some files I had deleted earlier in Win7 were back so I moved them to another folder
and then deleted them again.

Then booted back into Win8 and I could see the drive fine, but the files I just deleted in Win7 were there, but not the files
I created in Win7.

The E drive as well as the C drive are both SSD's.

User name on Win7 is Dick-PC and user name on Win8 is DickM8.

Any clues or suggestions?

I'm going tol reboot into Win7 and burn the files to disk so I don't lose them.

Yow! Well, this is a mystery. Are the files Hidden? I always tell Windows Explorer to "show all files" hidden system or not. Make sure you got the same settings in both 7 and 8.

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
That seems to have solved the issue. Even though I turned off Fast Satrt, I see no noticeable difference in shutdown or startup.

Thanks
