    6650M Laptop Video Driver HELP!

So I will try be as specific as possible. I have had a lot of trouble with this laptop and am desperately seeking help. I have seen forum posts similar to this problem but with no solution. To start, here are the specifications of the laptop itself :

    Acer Aspire 7750G-9657:

    Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2GHz turbo boosted to 2.9GHz

AMD Radeon HD 6650M 2GB VRam, and Intel HD Graphics Onboard (Switchable Graphics)

    6 GB DDR3 Memory

    500GB HDD

The problem is, not only is the switchable graphics not manually switchable, but the 6650M does not even show up on the device manager. The only place I have been able to find the drivers for this laptop is Acer's website itself. They did not issue discs. And only one of those drivers are from AMD. When I install it, it comes with Catalyst Control Center. However when I pull up Device Manager it doesn't register the presence of the 6650m.

Even my program I had used to slightly overclock the chip doesn't recognize it anymore. And before anybody says, NO, I did not fry the chip by any major overclocking. The laptop is always on a cooling pad and I monitored the temperatures closely. That is not the problem. I have also had this problem when the computer was brand new so that further rules that explanation out.

So when I originally had this problem I re-installed a brand new bios that allowed me to manually switch the laptop over to the 6650m. And all was good until the driver went bad. So I uninstalled the 6650M and reinstalled its only existing driver. And now here I am with almost the same problem all over again. I cannot switch it over, and the laptop does not register the existence of a 6650m. If you guys need more detail just ask! I'll answer right away! Thanks!!!

I re-installed the chipset drivers. It doesn't appear to have done anything =(

I am actually starting to get angry with this. After re-installing the chipset driver, I re-installed the ONE AMD driver they have on the Acer website. And suddenly an extra unidentified chip reappeared on the device manager.... UNTIL I did a system reboot. Same exact problem all over as though I hadn't re-installed shit
