Hey there im swizzled. Ok so here it goes so recently I built my own computer first time and it works and everything but there are some problems I have been having lately and cant solve them.

My first problem is that my usb Wi-Fi adapter hasn't been working good I have the netgear n900 I think the high performance and my speed goes up n down from 18 to 54 mbps a lot I don't think its compatible or something and was thinking about getting an pci Wi-Fi card because I heard their better but don't know which to choose yet alone which is compatible.

My second problem is when I go to bed the next day my pcs off and says windows restarted to recover from an error. Well just today I I walked away and my computer did the error and went blue screen several times with a sad face. saying Google driver overran stacked buffer it did that every time I tried connecting to the internet. So now I haven't tried to connect yet but only did what it said to run anti virus which I did nothing came back and to check hard disk for errors which I did and nothing then to get update which I cant because I haven't reconnected to internet and decided to ask for some help from you guys and any advice.

If yall could help me it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

ok, you have the WNDA 3100 dual band adapter, what router do you have? I use this same adapter with a WNDR 3700v2, and get 261mbps, 50 feet away. So you need to check info in your router and see what profile is set in the Netgear genie for the adapter.

Yes I have wnda3100v2. And its a 2wire modem. But everytime I try n connect it shuts my computer to restart. As long as I dont connect its fine. Doesnt want to restart. But I guess I need to get on the main router modem and see the seeings and thats by typing the ip address right? And also what do you mean see the netgear profile?

It sounds like you may have a hardware issue. Things to check:
-Check CPU/MB temps
-Check all power connectors are secured to the motherboard and/or video card(s).
-Check that all fans are working.
-Check that your CPU heatsink and fan are firmly connected to the processor and motherboard
