I disabled it, shut down, restarted, but still doing it. What should I refresh?

If you have a restore point before the problem started you can do a restore to that point if you do not have a restore point then you need to do a refresh. The system NT kernel is the problem.

    That looks normal.
One of the running applications or services is probably causing this.

The refresh will delete all your data and programs and it will install the OS fresh. Don't do this only after you've backuped your stuff.

Seriously? I just bought this thing a few months ago, I can't believe I have to reinstall everything again I was having to reinstalls a lot with the last laptop, hence buying this one... Why would this problem have arisen?

Would the laptop automatically create restore points? I don't think I have ever done one, never even heard of a restore point.

Power outages can cause many many problems as that is not a good shut down and can corrupt your files on the HD. Having a UPS or a battery installed will cure the power outage problem. You have a NT kernel problem or a device driver problem that is causing the CPU to run all the time. Mine only runs less than 1% while running no programs and system idle is 99%.

I think I fixed the problem. After you mentioned the NT kernel thing, I googled NT kernel, found another forum where someone had a similar problem and someone described an NT kernel thing as possibly from a recent program that was installed that is causing the problem so I went through "remove programs" thing and uninstalled a recent program I installed that records youtube videos and CPU has been down to 2% Hopefully it stays like this.

Thank you guys for your help
