I've not been using Win 8 for very long and am having trouble finding my way around. Right now I am trying to find Windows Accessories, the folder that contained numerous tools such as calculator, notepad, Wordpad, etc in Win 7. At least that is where I think they were.

Can someone point me to Windows Accessories?

Thank you.

If you want a Windows Accessories toolbar for convenience. Right click your taskbar and select Toolbars then New.
Navigate to that folder and double click the folder. Or single click and press button to Select folder.

Another tutorial on this site is Programs Folder toolbar

You can make a short cut for each app (or whatever) in the Windows Accessories folder you might want to access from the desktop. Put the shortcuts on the desktop--in a "Windows Accessories" folder. Then right click on task bar and create a toolbar that will allow you to access what you want--pretty much like you used to do using the start menu in your prior version of Windows (don't need a start menu under this approach). You can make toolbars like this for any shortcuts you want to use and for whatever your purpose. You can move the Windows Accessories folder elsewhere to get it off the desktop if you want.
