Can't find ALL PROGRAMS-in search of ACCESSORIES in search of SYSTEM TOOLS.

I wanted to do msconfig, regedit, write and keep template text to wordpad, do some snipping....and I cannot find them.

I searched Local disc C:..... and did not find them.

Oddly, I already know everything you said...except finding ACCESSORIES...in search of the usual computing tools for usual computing stuffs like texting on wordpad(where is it?) for template-ing and record keeping in Documents folder, snipping(where is it?). I thought I stumbled earlier on msconfig command but I cannot duplicate the find(where is it?).

Search bar in Start has nothing on ACCESSORIES. I think everything I am looking for is in ACCESSORIES(but where is that folder?)

BTW, I am neither frustrated nor confused. Just lost. On my 4th day with W8, already I love it(it took me a month to fall in love with Vista). I think W8 is exhilaratingly engaging in its totally new and so different interfaces. .

But for the moment I really need to find ACCESSORIES.....for the usual computing tools. (where is it?)

Well, if you are in the Metro screen (which is also known as the Start Screen), just right click. You should get a way to access "All Apps". The option appears at the bottom left. Click that and you will be presented with all the apps on your machine organized under separate headings. Scroll side ways. Towards the end, you will find a section titled "Windows Accessories". Is this what you are looking for?

Edit: If that is indeed what you are looking for, you can also right click on the apps of your choice and pin them to the Start Screen so you won't have to go through the above-described process again.
