Windows 8 Refresh failed, I need help!

Hi. I have a Asus vivobook s400c that I bought off the microsoft store 4 months ago. Today I was getting repeated blue screens of death. My laptop would crash and then restart only to crash again within 2 minutes, this just kept happening. So I figured I would just factory reset my laptop because it should have a recovery image on it since there is no optical drive.

The factory reset failed at 64%, so I did it again and it failed in the exact spot again. Now the computer won't boot up. It says automatic repair which ends up failing and it gives me 2 options to either shut down or go through the advanced options.

Is there anyway I can download windows 8 onto an external drive and install it like that? I have no clue what to do at this moment. Any help would be appreciated.

I think your HDD is failed
If you have brought your laptop 4months ago that means your warranty is not expired so you should go to
Microsoft Store Online

And contact Microsoft Store.

If its the HDD problem then they will fix it.

If its caused by any Rootkit virus then you should create a Windows Defender Offline Image and scan with it if any rootkit virus is there which is restricting your Windows Booting and even the system restore.

But most probably its the fault of your HDD. I had also got the same error And after I replaced my HDD the problem was gone.
