It would appear as though your .exe run file is either missing, or possibility corrupt. If you have the install disc you may be able to fix this problem by using the install disc to recover your system, or if needed to reinstall the OS. . .Hope this helps.

About the only "standard" fix you might be able to use that would not erase your data is: automatic repair (may need to run multiple times--say 3). Your will need an installation medium or a system repair disc to try this approach. As I recall, some have been able to install ubuntu and, then, use data recovery software to rescue files.

Great. And, you are very welcome. I assume it was the automatic repair that worked since you appear to be replying to me.

Actually no...I just did the refresh but the files where intact. I just fallow the instructions Lee gave me and the OS when I installed. I dint knew about the automatic repair. But also to you I am grateful for your replaying me. If In future I have the same I will fallow the automatic one thanks znod.

Thanks for letting me know. Yes, the automatic repair would be less disruptive if it works in a case like yours.

    Hi Leinad,

Glad to see that you are now back up and running. Please note that you have solved the problem so others don't get confused and attempt to help you further (though they may have some good ideas). . .
