Yes, a screenshot would be helpful as znod suggests.

Get the screen in question onscreen
    Press the Print Screen key.
    Open Windows Paint.
    Click Paste.
Click File & choose Save as.
    Choose PNG from the options.
Choose Desktop as the location to save it to.
When you post it choose "Go Advanced" in the reply options.
    Then upload it to here....

It is not clear as to what you are actually trying to do so please clarify:

Do you want to change the desktop background? If so, you are in the right place. Simply click on Desktop Backgrounds, browse for the folder that contains your new background picture, and click OK.

Next, select the picture you want and click save.

Now you have created an unsaved theme, so save and give it a unique name.

You new theme (with personalized picture) should now be available and working.

Wow!! I finally got it working!! Thanks so much!! Windows 7 would have taken about 5 seconds to do this, and Windows 8 takes about 5 hours to do this.

I'll stick with SQL Server stuff, Visual Studio stuff, and MS Office development!! This creative stuff is NOT for me!!!!

    Thanks everyone!!

    Hello ryguy7272,

Could you please share what you did to fix your problem and mark this thread as solved while you are here?

Ah! Of course. I always do that over at the MSDN Discussion Forums. So the solution was as follows:

#1) I went to > find a picture of a tremendous mountain > download image

#2) I jiggled the mouse around in the upper right hand side of the screen to get this tool:

#3) I clicked Start, to get the Start Screen:

#4) I clicked on the picture in the upper right hand side of the screen and then clicked 'Change account picture' then clicked 'Browse' . . navigated to the image and loaded the image.

Sorry for not posting the solutions sooner. I always do this on the MSDN Discussion Forums!!
