Photo gallery running out of memory?

Attempting to print from photo gallery, it complains that I am out of memory, nothing else is open and I have 1.5G RAM let to utilise.

Please see screenshot attached of the error.

It also has an issue generating the preview when pressing print. I assume the 2 errors are symptoms of the same underlying problem.

I think this might be something to do with printer drivers? Do I need to re-install these?

You haven't really given much information regarding your system. Is it a new computer? Did it come with eight installed or did you upgrade to 8?
Which printer are you using?
Going to the printer's website and updating the printer drivers is the best place to start.
