How can I change the user-name in the folder-display ?

(The following terms are translated from German, but perhaps not correctly)

At present I try to familiarize with W8 with a new Toshiba Laptop.

There exists only one user with the name Helmut. I created a local account with the name „Helmut“. But in the folder-display Computer --> xxx(C: ) --> users appear only the two folders „Public“ and „TOSHIBA“. I tried with execute --> control userpassword2 --> properties to change the name (from TOSHIBA to Helmut), but again in the folder-structure remains "TOSHIBA".

How can I change the display of this name to the name of the user (e.g. to "Helmut")? Perhaps in the registry? But where ?

Thank you for your help.

Albert

The only way I know how is to create a new account with the name you want, move your files over from the old one to the new one, then delete the old account.

Just Changing the name of the account won't change the name of the folders.

Creating a new account is the only way to get the folders named the way you want, as far as I know.
It's certainly the easy way.
