Solved difference between windows 8 pro and windows 8 pro vl & N

one Google I found the windows 8 different version like pro, pro vl and pro N which are very strange to me. so I want to know that whether they exists or not .if yes they exists can u explain which one is best and their features

Basically the differences are this below. Otherwise, they are the same.


VL = Volume License instead of retail product key.

N = Without Windows Media Player (WMP).

VL usually implies Volume License so these are usually copies which can be activated many times but have a unique key. I've heard of Enterprise versions being VL but it seems rare that W8 PRO would be VL -- but I suppose in a business it's possible.

I think the N edition means it doesn't include the Media stuff which if you want it has to be added separately. However with service now being supplied directly from the Internet and free media players like VLC which can handle nearly every known codec in the universe the need for the Ms media stuff isn't an issue any more.

Nope. The product key you have would have to be for that specific edition.

VL just means that you will need to a volume license key to activate instead of the usual retail product key.
