    It is not necessary to have an iso image to make bootable installation media.
    Using diskpart and xcopy (built in Windows tools) it could be possible to make a bootable usb/dvd from the files op has.
    The gist of how to for USB bootable media will be helpful in working out DVD how to;

    Maybe using CDburnerXP to create an .iso from original disk would have been quicker and easier. There is always other ways though...

    The previous poster didn't link to anything to back up his statement.

    Hi there.

    Can be done in Linux (mkisofs) -- download any old Linux Live Cd and run mkisofs -- beware though it's a COMMAND line program (Shell) with a lot of parameters so test it first by writing to a "virtual ISO" or a re-writeable device. I'd download Linux Mint live cd as it probably has least "compatibility" problems and seems to run on any hardware thrown at it.

    command is mkisofs -o output.iso plus a load of other parameters.

    mkisofs - Linux Command - Unix Command
