    Folder Option Keep Changing Itself.

The option - hide extension for known file type change itself to unticked after I ticked the box and click ok. How to fix this?

    Hello TheChronix,

There's also a checkbox option to hide or show know file extensions in the ribbon in File Explorer that's easy to click and check by mistake.

If that still doesn't help, then you might see if using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below may. It's the same in Windows 8 as well.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
