How do I opt for NO THEMES showing in Windows 8? If I want just a solid background color, nothing changing? I know it should be simple. But I'm not seeing it!

Thanks Jack

I'm going to reply to my own question. It seems what investigation I've done that there is no such thing as a solid desktop background. Well .. you have have a solid color but it is still going to be a theme that you create. That's where I've gotten so far. The reason I am going in this direction is that I have an Xfinity app that is supposed to pop up and show the caller ID. I was wondering if the Windows 8 theme was blocking it. Well ... more investigation.

Well not anyone in particular. I can find the codes easy enough if thats where you are going. I just want to know if there is a way to shut off the themes program and just have a regular old XP background. As I said, I'm really trying to eliminate if the themes program is covering up an Xfinity app caller ID program. You have to select ON TOP in the Xprogram but I don't know if the themes somehow takes precedence and covers it. That's all I was really trying to do, not that I don't like themes. I just want them out of the way to see if Xapp is back there. Thanks ":-\

The desktop background doesn't cover up or hide anything.
