Hi there
When you installed windows 8 weren't you prompted to set up a password hint. I'm sure I was even installing W8 Enterprise.

Otherwise Tough "Female accoutrements". You'll have to re-install --unless you can logon as another user such as administrator and re-set the password.

(Actually re-installing will be a good lesson so you will in future remember things like passwords -- also a base W8 install doesn't take long at all on even quite modest hardware). :dinesh:

Next time also you can activate the hidden administrator account -- it's not enabled by default though so this time I suspect you really will have to re-install.

How can I enable the Administrator account in Windows 8?

Cheers

There are ways but we can't discuses them here. It's against forum rules. For all we know said PC could be stolen or one that someone else doesn't want you using. It's not my intension to call you a thief, I'm just trying to explain why we can't help you bypass the password.

Here's a tip. If you don't make a password disc, there's a very special other alternative. It's commonly called a piece of paper and a pencil. To get fancy buy "paste-it's". They're little squares with a sticky back. You paste them on your computer.

Here are some deep secrets about Windows 8 that only the Savant's know:

* Win 8 has a feature that allows booting up WITHOUT the password. It's automatic log on.

* Win 8 has a feature that allows logging on with a 4 digit pin number.

* Win 8 has a feature that allows logging on with a picture.

I was but ignored it that is why I was embarrassed.

I tried all the password possibilities and finally got the correct on, I have now logged into Windows 8 and created a password hint and a password recovery disk.

If you want no password I believe all you have to do is go to change password and leave the new password field blank.

I understand which is why I always purchase software from reputable sources, Windows 8 was purchased from the Microsoft Store as a download but I elected to purchase the backup DVD from the Microsoft shop at the time.
