Hi There and welcome to Eightforums.

It is obvious that you have a problem with your computer. But unfortunately the description of your problem is way to general for me to help you.

It would help if you could describe the problem in more detail. So:
    • What kind of computer are you using (laptop/ dekstop/ brand/ etc).
    • What is the problem. What were you doing when the problem occurs.
    • What have you tried yet.
    • If it concerns specific hardware which hardware?

Besides that it is always a wise idea to start with a scf/ scannow ==> SFC /SCANNOW Command - Run in Windows 8
Run this command up to three times untill all the issues are resolved.

Hope you will reply with more details concerning your problem.

    Greetz!

    Hi,

thanks for the more details you've provided. You say that you've got a PB laptop and that the problem occurs right after installing the new Catalyst drivers.

Well, most laptops come with branded Videocards. That means that the chipsets are slightly changed by the laptop manufacteror. It is therefore NOT the same as an 'out of the box' desktop card.

This also means that the manufacteror has to edit the drivers. The standard AMD drivers are not tested to work with branded laptop videochipsets.

So, my final advice to you is ==> uninstall the Catalyst drivers from AMD. Go to the website of PB and download the newest drivers there that are available for your type of laptop. Choose your country | Packard Bell

    Good luck with it!

It just simply might have something to do with the way AMD is making the Win8 drivers.

In that case, you can give it a try to install the Win7 drivers onto Win8.
