LShift key spells "C", and other nonsense.

Hello, I'm posting this for a friend at the moment. On his laptop, the HP Pavilion g7 his left shift key acts the letter "C" as well as shift, his right shift key acts as the letter "E" and shift. The letters also do the same thing. He's tried remapping as well as other various things to attempt to fix the problem but none have worked. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Plug in a USB keyboard to see if it does the same thing, if it still is not working it is a Windows problem, if it goes away then it a keyboard problem.
