 I am searching for a way to stop the 'Server Busy' dialogue box from popping up whenever I use a couple software programs I have. One is a paid yearly subscription program called "Paretologic FileCure". The other is an open source free program called "WinMerge".

I have done a little online research and have found the initials OLE associated with The 'Server Busy' dialogue box. I do not know what these initials stand for. I also found some somewhat dated information at this link (How to deal with annoying Server Busy dialog box ? | The Developer's Point), but I don't know how to make use of it. I do best with exact instructions, since I'm not technically knowledgeable.

To use the words of the link above, the problem occurs "when the MFC COM Client is calling some method in the COM Server, that takes a long time to process. Until the method returns, nothing can be done in the client side and this dialog box pops up". I read that it is 5 seconds, but is registered in milliseconds, I think. This information may only apply to a specific instance, but I think the cause (process time too long) applies to all instances.

There is suppose to be a way to increase the 5 second limit, but I don't understand the technical jargon this link uses in instructing how to do this.
