How Do I Pin Outlook.com to Taskbar?

How do I get Outlook.com to pin to the Taskbar? I've unlocked the Taskbar and dragged and dropped the header but it doesn't pin.

    Hello Rishicash,

Double check to see if the tutorial below may be able to help with this. If you are unable to drag and drop the site favicon to the taskbar to pin it, then you could also use OPTION THREE to manually create a shortcut to the site that you will be able to pin to taskbar.

    Hope this helps,

Sorry. I should have been more specific. I have W8 and don't use Chrome not IE.

It doesn't matter. It's the same in Windows 8, and you would just use the path to the browser's .exe file in OPTION THREE to create the shortcut with.

I tried that and it doesn't work. It says it's pinned but when I close all the Chrome windows there's nothing there and I even locked the Taskbar after "pinning" it. I also need a different icon rather than just the Chrome icon to know which one it is. If it was an App it would be easy.

For Outlook.com at Chrome, you would create a shortcut using this below with step 4 in OPTION THREE in the tutorial above. Afterwards, you could change the icon to whatever icon you like in step 5 if you didn't want the default Chrome icon.

    64-bit W8
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" http://www.outlook.com
    OR

    32-bit W8
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" http://www.outlook.com
The shortcut above will only "Pin to Taskbar" if you do not already have Chrome pinned to the taskbar.

If you have Chrome pinned to your taskbar, you could also pin the site in the Jump list of the Chrome icon on the taskbar instead if you like.

Outlook from the start screen right click and choose down the bottom pin to taskbar is that help for you.

Hey Brink - I have W8/64. I got as far as C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\, but there is no Chrome folder there and none of the folders there contains it. ???

Sandman....thanks, but this is for Outlook.com and not Outlook.

Odd. Do you have the latest 25.0.1364.97 version of Google Chrome installed?
