On attempting to open a couple of items in Documents, I got back the error box: ' The requested operation requires elevation'. What does that mean? robinpe

It means Windows does not think you have the authorization to open that file. Try right clicking on it and selecting Open as Administrator.

Can you take a screenshot of what you are trying to do (and the error message)?

Press "Windows Key + Prt Scn" at the same time.
