    Windows 8 Freezes after sleeping and powering on.


    Hi i have windows 8 pro 64-bit, whenever i set my pc to sleep and then i wake it up (i press the power button), windows 8 starts up and everything is frozen please help. The cursor and keyboard and everything freezes. I formatted the pc and still have the problem. I even had this prob with Windows 7.

    Try turning fast startup off: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 8. Note that this may not be your answer since you had the problem under Win7.

One of my family members is experiencing a PC that is consistently powering down abruptly. I checked into the windows error log and I'm not able to make sense of it. I suspect a faulty PSU or rail might also be in play.

Windows not sleeping in General Support
I have my options to turn off monitor after 10 minutes and put pc to sleep after 45 minutes. None of these work, I have run the command to see why and it says nothing that is preventing my pc from going to sleep, what am I doing wrong?

Title pretty says it all, is there a way to prevent Windows 8 from powering up the PC with the move/click of the mouse/keyboard? Thanks!
