    Hi, since windows updated itself last night outlook is not working very well, I think it the server, however this caused me to look in event viewer.
    I am getting one of these a second since the last batch of microsoft fixes.
    They started straight after the reboot:
    "A fatal alert was received from the remote endpoint. The TLS protocol defined fatal alert code is 40."

    Event xmlns="Error">
    - <System>
    <Provider Name="Schannel" Guid="{1F678132-5938-4686-9FDC-C8FF68F15C85}" />

    <TimeCreated SystemTime="2013-02-13T17:19:55.989416800Z" />

    <Correlation />

    <Execution ProcessID="652" ThreadID="688" />

    <Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />

    - <EventData>
    <Data Name="AlertDesc">40</Data>

    Any ideas?Thanks

    TLS1_ALERT_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE (error code 40) talking to some server ??

    Did you look in the installed updates for success or failed ?
    Maybe Action Centers 'Reliability Monitor see which update had a problem.

    no, all successful. nothing in action center its on the top (10) , I just ran sfc /scannow no problems. generate a health report, no problems.
    But writing one of these every second is possibly having some effect on system I would have thought?
    I'll roll back and block all the updates.
    Was working fine before.
    If I get infected I'll restore a system image.
    Thanks for reply
    I found it quite amusing all the tests pass with no issue and yet it's writing a fatal error every second!

    Windows installed a potful of the tile updates. Perhaps its one of those. I have accu-weather that's not working right and am running the '
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    which takes forever. Hopefully fix it.
