    Windows 8 Taskbar explorer shortcut


    On my windows 7 taskbar to open a new window of windows explorer i just press the mouse middle scroll button and it opened a new windows.

    It is not working in window 8. By the way I am using the start8 utility.


    I really need to get this working as I have to open quite windows sometimes very quickly.

    Hello cldcp00,

    If you like, you could use the "Computer" shortcut in the tutorial below to "Pin to taskbar". It will open a new File Explorer window each time you click on it.
