No minidump, no idea what keeps causing this.

Might try changing the SSD controller to RAID rather than AHCI to see if that helps. HAs this arisen on these forums in recent times?
If you run the tool in Brink's thread here and post the results, even if there are no minidumps included, it will be most helpful:

OK thanks but it's not actually giving a BSOD, it just sort of wakes and freezes completely before powering down?

OK, ZIP file attached with no dumps and I do not get BSOD with this as mentioned. Thanks again for your time on this..

    Delete C:\Windows\System32\drivers\PxHlpa64.sys

    Open Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

Find that above driver's subkey and delete it. Reboot.

Your CD/DVD drive will not work, but that is very simple to fix and will do that next.

Update all the stuff from ASUS site, in Downloads/Utilities, even if the Windows 7 is latest on offer and its newer than what you have. Check it out.

    Uninstall RealNetworks Download Resolver service.

You can test the machine in the meantime. If issues persist, uninstall Epson Printer software to test.

    No problem. You're welcome.

OK I will do the first step removing PxHlpa64.sys and restarting and see if that solves it first then try the rest bit by bit! Happy to Paypal you a few quid for a beer or two if we do this... Cheers.

Well it's still doing it but have just manually updated a few more intel chipset drivers after doing the AHCI controller already (the chipset setup program seems to not install them even though it says finished) to see if that works and un-installed real player. If it continues I'll delete the Epson service!

I have noticed the following 2 device drivers along with a load of Microsoft drivers (including storage spaces Controller) are still dated 2006 and don't seem to have an update?

    • Intel PCI Bridge - 244E
    • Intel 82802 Firmware Hub

PCI Bridge might be iAMT driver or ME (Management Engine) driver from Intel.com. Intel Chipset INF Update Utility does not install storage drivers. They have to be downloaded separately.

You could figure it out exactly by right clicking on it in Device Manager, Properties, Details tab, change dropdown to say "Hardware Ids." Then Google for the device id or look at PCI Vendor and Device Lists

You could always update the driver manually, if it is found to be part of chipset installer instead, using Device Manager.

It's probably best you check on your ASUS drivers and that they've been updated in the manner shown. Most people don't follow that well, even though I specify "Windows 7, if need be" or similar. (Just sayin', heh.)

PCI bridge does not seem to update, hardware IDs are as follows but I can't find anything on that link:

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_244E&SUBSYS_84CA1043&REV_C4
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_244E&SUBSYS_84CA1043
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_244E&CC_060401
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_244E&CC_0604

I have read it could be a problem with the PSU? Having swapped the RAM over I'll be trying a new PSU I guess if deleting the Epson service does not work.

Did you install the actual Intel INF Chipset Update Utility for your machine?

Greetings. I've lately been getting a number of BSOD pop-ups when waking my computer from sleep or hibernation. Though it has happened occasionally in the past, I've noticed an increase since installing a new Blu-Ray drive. I am able to recreate the BSOD just by putting the computer to sleep,...
It crashes after waking from sleep. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 restarts until I'm able to get back into the OS. Attached is the dump file. Thanks in advance, Ben
