I need help, I accidentally deleted my windows account.

I have windows 8 and I was on my live account. ( On live.com) when I accidentally hit the delete account button and I wasn't paying attention and ended up deleting it. The problem is, my windows 8 user is registered with my live account. So it says the live account email. But it's deleted. How can I change the email without having to completely make a new windows 8 user?

You can't actually delete your live account. Delete just disables it. If you re-log in it will ask if you want to re-activate it. (log in to the web site, not the OS)

I tried re-logging in, it just says there is no account under that name.

Sorry, you have to re-register it, but there's a sticky point. You have to wait 30 days before they allow you to re-register the old account.

Yeah....I too found that that out the hard way. Although mine was trying to change the primary email. With any major change there is a 30 day wait period which I think is really stupid, a 5, 7 or even 14 day would be OK, but 30 days...what's the point.

My 30 days is almost up....February 9th.....
