Moving windows to visible area

Hello,
I'm aware that behaviour in windows 8 is probably a bug fix but still:

in windows 7 when I switched from dual display to single display all windows stayed exactly where they were so when I switched back to dual display everything was were it supposed to be (i.e. chat windows + music player on side display)

in windows 8 each time I do that (switch from double display) all windows from second display are moved to the main/only one and upon switching back they are not moved back which is... highly annoying :/

can I somehow make windows 8 to behave like win 7?!

Not that i'm aware of, though there are some apps out there that can automatically position windows for you.

You may find a few hotkeys useful. Try using WindowsKey+right or left arrow several times and the current window will move to differenet snap positions.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that it should not have behaved that way in Windows 7, as that could make apps stranded on the second monitor.

Well, actually I have my own app/script to manage windows using keyboard and place windows in desired positions but... while this helps constant moving around windows to put them back i highly annoying :/
