    Windows 8 Reset

Hi. Recently I installed Fedora 18 alongside my already running Windows 8 computer, I have a Lenovo Y400 laptop and I wish to make it just Windows 8 again. Would choosing the reset option return my computer back to it's original setting meaning no Fedora 18 or a partitioned drive, or are there other steps I would have to take? I want to do this because my Windows 8 started acting up ever since this happened.

    Thanks

Reset won't do that. Try deleting the Fedora partition and extending your Win8 partition. Be sure you are well backed up before fooling with partitions. See this Windows-related tutorial. If you can't do what you want in Win8, then you'll need to use a 3rd party app. I always had good luck with Acronis Disk Director, but there are plenty of good apps out there.

If Linux was installed after Windows 8 and the GRUB bootloader set up a dual boot for you, then if you simply delete the Linux partitions your computer will no longer boot. You should first use your system repair disk to do an automatic repair, so that Windows 8 will boot on its own. Then you can delete the Linux partitions.

System repair disk? I don't believe that my computer came with any disks.
Is there a program that can do what the disk does

Go into the Control Panel, then open Windows 7 File Recovery. On the left hand side of the window you will see the option for create a system repair disk. You will need a blank cd for this. Otherwise, you can follow the steps in the tutorial below to get into the automatic repair function.

System Recovery Options - Boot to in Windows 8

Here are two ways in the above tutorial that I have provided a link to, which you can use to access the automatic repair option for Windows 8. Brink does a good job of explaining things.

And then after doing the automatic repair, I boot into Windows 8 again and delete the partition?

I tried doing the automatic repair and it kept saying it couldn't repair anything. So I tried to boot it into Windows 8 and it tells me that I can't boot into it .__.
