Solved Can't Delete C:\$WINDOWS.~BT

After I did an upgrade I found this folder and I ubnable to delete it:
Can't Delete C:\$WINDOWS.~BT
Tells me I need permissions form TrustedInstaller.

Any idea how I can get rid of this folder?

Hello James,

You should be able to use Disk Cleanup to delete the Previous Windows installation(s), Temporary Windows installation files, and Windows upgrade log files items that will delete this for you. :)

I did use Disk Cleanup once because I couldn't delete Eindows.old. But it removed Windows.old but didn't remove the folder I asked about.
But, Take Ownership worked fine.
I couldn't remember the name.

Yes that take ownership file comes in handy for this type of stuff. Glad you have it all working JamesJ. :)
