Making 2nd monitor always display Metro Screen?

How do I make my 2nd monitor always display my start screen / metro screen?

Seems like on my 1st monitor, when ever i open chrome or IE, it closes the start/metro on monitor 2, and opens it there.

    Hello gizbug,

You can't. Whenever you open a desktop app, it will close the Start screen.

You can open the Start screen from any of your displays by clicking on the Start button after hovering on the bottom left corner of that display. When you press the Windows key, it will open the Start screen on whatever display the Start screen was last closed from.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

You're welcome, but having a second monitor will still make it much easier to multitask though.

Well, that's more of just a personal choice for which one should be set as the main display. I like having my furthest left display set as the main display.

You can always toggle open the Start screen as needed from either display.

Hello! Just today I started using a brand new monitor for my HP laptop. It's pretty old, I'd had it for quite a while now. It's a SyncMaster 2043 SNX, and I have managed to get it to fill the screen with a bad 1280x720 resolution. My Native monitor resolution is 1600x900 on my laptop; is there any...
This would really help me with reading at night. There are plenty of screen dimming utilities, but they don't carry over into Modern, only dimming the desktop. I was wondering if there's a way to dim the entire UI, maybe as a default option. Thanks.

Alright, this one has me stumped. On my desktop PC that I leave on all the time I have the "Turn off the display" set to 30 minutes and works as advertised. The computer itself is never put into a sleep or hibernation state. However upon waking up the display it turns back on the monitor but...
As the title indicates, I have a Latitude ST which runs pretty well under Windows 8. In fact it ran VERY well under Windows 8 until I tried to start using it with an external monitor. The Latitude has a full HDMI port, so I got an HDMI-DVI cable and hooked up to the external monitor. Nothing. Went...
My "primary monitor" is set to the smaller of the two so the Metro start menu shows up on it. Occasionally, though, it'll show up on the secondary screen. Does anyone know how to control this? Sometimes I watch Netflix on the smaller one and would rather have Metro show up on the secondary...
Okay guys i have a puzzling one for you... I'm running my trusty Emachines E527 with Windows 8 RP. I do a hard reset and turn my computer back on and I don't get an image on my...
Anybody else find this frustrating? I like Metro IE for quick browsing. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use Metro IE for quick browsing off the Start screen, then click the "View on desktop" button and have it open in Firefox. That seems unlikely though.
