    Ctrl V

Under any previous OS, one could simply highlight text, press CTRL+C to copy it and then press CTRL+V to paste it elsewhere.

CTRL+C still functions to copy, but CTRL+V no longer pastes the clipboard data.

Instead, they seem to have built in multiple paste options seen if you right click and go under the Paste heading.

Removal of Ctrl+V is annoying in itself. But, building multiple paste options is almost worse because now you have to decide how to paste it, when before, it made some fairly intelligent decisions on how to paste and it worked great for me.

Do you experts know of any way to bring back the old paste shortcut? After a decade and a half of doing it with ctrl+V, switching it to something else isn't just distracting, its horrible!

Copy paste works perfectly fine here with CTRL-C then CTRL-V.

I just did a copy paste on this sentence using CTRL-C > V.

Copy paste works perfectly fine here with CTRL-C then CTRL-V.

Any idea why my CTRL+v isn't working then? Any way to force shortcuts in the event it was changed/removed via an application?

So here's something interesting. So, I go to Word and to the shortcuts section, and if I removed CTRL+V and then try to add it back, it will not detect the key combination. CTRL and V work independently, but if I try to use them together it doesn't detect that combination. It almost feels like that combination is used elsewhere, like another application is preventing it's use? Is there any way to detect that application is grabbing on to it?

Use either left or right Ctrl key to unlock. Using the spacebar key is documented but since I'd found no mention of the method which I use, then I thought I'd pass it on.
