Hi folks, have just got new laptop with Win8 and Winmedia 12 and now trying to stream radio stations. Looked at various help pages but it appears that I do not have the required Online Stores --->Media Guide icons or Online Stores line when pressing Alt V. Any ideas what to do please ??

I can recommend the app "TuneIn" for listening to internet radio streams. It works great!

TuneIn (though it can take an extremely long time to load the stream). also, iHeartRadio is also great. It gets all the ClearChannel radio stations.

don't forget pradio for pandora.

MusicAmp is kind of neat.

and of course, don't forget Xbox Music which is included with Windows 8 and has which has free streaming. you can even add all your favorite songs to your music collection and it's almost like owning them. though to actually be able to play the songs offline, you have to sign up for the pay service.

For me is it possible to play internet streams in Windows MediaPlayer. First you have to find the URL of the stream. It must be a .m3u URL, WMP can't play .pls URL's. Then in WMP press CTRL+U to open a popup. Paste the URL of the internet stream and press OPEN.

==> Your internet stream is being loaded :) (and save the playlist for future use).
