    Copy but keep both files option?


    Is there a "Copy but keep both files" in windows 8?

    Like this?

    Hello Mike,

    Instead, you have this now. You would check both files in the right screenshot to "Copy, but keep both file" instead.

    I have not seen that before, it is just replace, compare, or skip I believe. Doesn't look like that at all.

    When you click on "Compare" on the left screenshot, you should then see the right screenshot.

    Correction. It appears that it's still in Windows 8 in certain areas after all.

    The "Copy, but keep both files" is displayed when restoring duplicate file names from a Windows Backup like at step 15 in the tutorial below.

    Sorry but this is what I would rather have - it makes other users do more when they just hit Copy, but keep both files

    an update in win 8 and beyond should be better (one day)
