A very quick question to you knowledgeable people, - I have a folder called windows.old on my C: drive.
I THINK its whats left of the windows 8 that was on my machine before I upgraded / Activated Windows 8 Pro.
Can I delete it ?(and should I ?).
It`s nearly 30GB.

Go Computer > C:, and you'll see Windows.old. I assume you already have all your data without relying on Windows.old. Also, check Device Manager to see that your don't need any drivers from Windows.old. Then, delete the folder. See my sig for suggestions.

Edit:- I Killed it , just deleted normally and confirmed when it said I needed admin permissions. its in the recycle bin now.
I`ll leave it there until I`m certain everything is still running O.K. then delete it completely to reclaim the space.
(All my drivers are backed up to DVD`s anyway so I should be safe).

I don't think you'll miss Windows.old. After a couple of weeks, you'll forget it existed. :)
