so the clock is still stopped , how old it the computer ,sometime a dead bios battery in older computers can cause a slow [always wrong time] clock

    Time freeze solution

I had the same issue and literately harvested Google to solve it,
let me save you the bother

    1. Scan your computer for malicious files with a known antivirus (AVG\Norton\Kaspersky\etc)

    2. Disable Sleep mode (Click here for quick guide)

    3. Get a simple time sync tool from Windows System Time Sync (download, make sure it runs as admin)

Make sure you right click the launch file > compatibility > run as an administrator.
Double click it (notice your time and date now got sync'd) then press OK and Walla. fixed.

I can't find the right setting. I know I used to be able to change the style of this clock ( perhaps with XP) , Windows gave you lots of fancy options/styles to change this clock to. I need to use a different style because this desktop is so bright it washes out the time and I can't see it.
