I’m enjoying Win8 too. Like how stable and fast it is on my i3 desktop. The fast boot is super and not needing any additional firewall is great. I love the “just type to search” in the Modern UI. Don’t use the Modern UI much (except for a couple of nice apps), but miss the start button on the desktop so I added Start8. On the down side is the learning curve for doing some of the basic chores and I’m not enamored with the Charms Bar.

Personally I love mechanical keyboards. However, many don't like the cost or the noise.

I wonder how long MS will support mechanical keyboards before they go touch-screen only.

What's the #1 most used OS for desktop/laptop gaming? Windows.

Ugh. I hope they have enough sense not to do that. Things that would be difficult without a real keyboard and mouse include touch typing lots of text, CAD, etc. Touch screens are great for selecting things, navigating screens, and moving things around. Even simple modifications/transformations. But not for detailed document or drawing creation/editing.

Keyboard and mouse are here to stay while Windows desktops and laptops remain the dominant form of serious gaming.
