Not clear at all, but I think I know what you are asking.

Viruses can infect both hardware and software. Usually you only notice the problems in the software, where there might be an annoying pop up after every few seconds, or something of the like.

Usually if a hardware is infected, it'll reflect in the software.
Usually you can get rid of these viruses by formatting your hard drive, but there are some that can't be deleted that easily. Usually it's safest to replace the entire Hard Drive.

As for viruses infecting RAM and CPU, I haven't seen any yet but I know it's possible since They Both can hold memory in them. Usually though the memory is deleted after restarting the computer, but Maybe some inconsiderate assholes have found a way to keep the memory from deleting the virus.

There are plenty of different types of viruses, most that are just annoying addware like "Free Driver Scanner" or "HDDCleaner for Free" and such.

Hope this helps in some way.
