encountering some problem and restarting. I just got the thing for Christmas and it only began doing this, this afternoon. It's done it 5 or 6 times since, and it's very annoying. I've included a pic of the "details" given, but I don't
really understand what it means. Can anyone translate, and help fix it maybe? Also, I have not made any changes to my system in the last couple of days prior to it beginning to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you done all the updates? There are quite a few that need to be done since shipment.

Well, I'm not really sure. I've noticed it installing updates a time or two, but I'm not sure if there are more available. I guess I kind of assumed it would update itself automatically. How do I check? I still haven't learned my way around W8 all that well.

I doubt the updates fixed your machine. Before things get worse again, I'd a system restore back to the earliest restore point you have--assuming system restore is activated. Doing so will not necessarily uninstall all the updates, but it might uninstall some. And, be sure and see my sig. There are some very important things for you to do.
