I can teach you in One minute, main thing, use the right mouse button a lot, and place your cursor on the right side of the screen or right click on the bottom left corner, it's actually easier than Windows 7. Also if you're on the start screen just type what you're looking for.

I'm an old dog. Started in 1983 using TRSDOS and CP/M. Went into the Navy in 1986 using Unix Enyak. Amazed when they came out with a 50 HZ system in 1987. Windows 8 is actually pretty nice. Like it on my non-touch screen laptop and my touch screen tablet PC. Not hard at all.

I'm an dog also. First PC was a CP/M based Osborne Executive in 1982. Cost me $2,495.00. I find Win8 to be pretty good. As c|net wrote in 2001 about Windows XP, "Like any radical overhaul, XP takes some getting used to--we often lost patience with it--but, after time, it's hard not to like the new design." My sentiments on Win8 exactly. Now looking forward to a touch base laptop or tablet with Win8.

Well it's certainly good to see a few older guys not having any problems with Windows 8, its certainly better than hearing people saying that this going to be another Vista all day everyday.

    Oh please.

I went into the army in 1984. We didn't use Unix, we used CDC Cyber systems running Plato and ADA. It's not difficult to learn how to use it, you just have to give up your preconceived notions.

Hell, I wrote my first program on an old Cyber system running what was known as TIES, back in 1976.

LOL. Dunno what all that is but the military is notorious for not being up on the latest technology. I was stationed on the USS Forrestal when we used the Unix mainframe system, mainly for ordering and keeping track of supplies and parts and of course
for payroll. That was also my first exposure to ethernet.
