    Well Muiamir,

    i do not use a DVD either, only USB connections.

    Go to Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management and make your external USB active.

    If this does not work you have to put the USB first in the bios as Theog suggested.

    But it might work without hitting the bios, depends on how your board reacts.

    it worked like this once for me.

    thanks my friends but you mean there is no direct way to select the boot device.i should go to the bios and then select the boot device

I have Win8 successfully installed on a secondary single SSD drive. I want to test it, work on configuring it over time. My primary drive (2 drives on RAID 1) has Win 7 and the boot loader. If I remove my Win7 RAID array permanently, what do I have to do to boot from the Win 8 drive? Thanks

Well I did it and removed 7 and now am running 8. I like it and am keeping it. Why would I want old hardware?
