Just need some advice about a new Laptop

    Hey,

I wasn't really looking to get a new laptop until next year sometime, but I have just seen a really good deal (or at least I thought it was) for a Dell 15R - Inspiron 15R laptop.

However, I have two problems. Firstly, I have heard that the Inspiron 15R series are bad for overheating? Now I presume that model isn't affected by this since it only has an integrated graphics card. Does anybody know how likely an i5-3210M and Intel HD 4000 is to overheat?

Secondly, I wasn't sure whether it was worth 80 to move up from i3-3110M. I'm aware that the i3 doesn't have turbo boost but this laptop was more so something to get me by until university.

    Any advice is welcomed,

    Thanks, Will.

Thanks for the help... now it's just getting the money in the bank to order the darn thing!

I'll be so glad to get rid of HP DV6. Idles at 60C... runs at 70C. That's on balanced power settings though! Scared it'll burn the house down!
